Printers

SCARA Bot (3D Positioner)

This is a single-arm SCARA bot, with geometry described here (under section "SCARA forward kinematic equations"): http://roboted.wordpress.com/fundamentals/ The build philosophy is to keep as low-cost as possible with as many off-the-shelf components as possible.

It will have a total reach of 150x360x250mm (x3), based on an arm length of 165mm, and will have worst case positioning accuracy of ~1.5mm using full step drivers (1.8 degree/step motors with 5x pulley reduction), or ~0.2mm using eighth-step drivers.
